Antoine de Saint-Exupéry is a French pilot, writer, and poet. He was especially famous for his work "The Little Prince" (Le Petit Prince). When World War II began, France was occupied by Germany. Although he did not comply with the conditions of war, he was enlisted in the military. He went to the USA upon the defeat of France. He wrote his most important work, "The Little Prince", during this period. Due to his country's occupied status, he joined the US Army and went to North Africa with the rank of captain. On July 31, 1944, his plane was shot down and passed away. (June 29, 1900 - July 31, 1944)
